Meeting was called to order by Janet Locklear.
Board officers were nominated and elected by affirmation of all members present .
The officers are Brenda Thomas, Chairman, Tom Jennings, Vice Chairman, and
Mary Busbee, Secretary.
The 2008 calendar for quarterly meetings was presented and approved by
affirmation of all members present.
Harvin Quidas presented the changes NC House Bill 1294 created in the smoking
policy for nursing and adult care facilities. Members were asked to inquire about
the smoking policy in each facility on their q erly visits
Suggestions for holiday visits and gifts for residents in long to care were
discussed.
Visitation reports were given on visits by co ittee members.
The next meeting date will be January 2 at 9:30 am.
Tentative dates for facility visitations are:
Group I—October 25 and November 8
Group II—November 12 and November 14
