NEW HANOVER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD WORK SESSION The New Hanover County Planning Department will hold a work session for the County Planning Board on Thursday, August 23, 2007 beginning
at 12:00 p.m. in Room 601 of the Administration suite at the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington, NC to discuss the following: I. Text Amendment
(A-360, 8/07) – Request by staff to amend Section 51 of the Subdivision ordinance increasing maximum dollar amounts for Guarantees of Improvements from $100,000 to $8 million. II. Text
Amendment (A-352, 4/07) – Request by staff to amend 1. Article VI, Creating Section 69.18: Traffic Impact Review Process and 2. Section 72.39 Large Non-Residential Development Projects
making commercial projects of greater than 25,000 sq. ft. gross floor area subject to special use permit. III. Text Amendment (A-358, 4/07) – Request by staff to amend Sections 23-62,
23-62.1, and 72-37 relating to conditions for community boating facilities and private residential boating facilities as neighborhood amenities to residential subdivisions. III. A-364
Text amendment – Amateur Radio Antenna IV. A-365 Text Amendment – Clarify Section 59.7-6(1) Failure to Proceed in a Timely Manner The Planning Board will not be voting on items. The
purpose of this work session is to exchange information regarding the amendment proposals prior to an official public hearing before the Planning Board at their regular scheduled meeting.
