WORK SESSION AGENDA NEW HANOVER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD JUNE 27, 2007 The New Hanover County Planning Department will hold a work session for the County Planning Board on Wednesday, June
27, 2007 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Room 601 of the Administration suite at the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington, NC to discuss the following
items: 1. Performance bonding for large developments 2. Review process for large commercial projects 3. Distinction between “community boating facilities” and “private residential boating
facilities”. 4. Improving the Conditional Use rezoning process 5. Continuances 6. Discussion of “substantial difference” clause for reconsideration of special use permits 7. Public meetings
as a prerequisite for large projects 8. Review of Planning Board rules and procedures 9. The Castle Hayne planning process 10. Update on the development of a Low Impact Development manual.
11. Other items The Planning Board will not be voting on items. The purpose of this this work session is to exchange information regarding issues which frequently arise during planning
