The Soil Survey of Now Hanover County lists ~illrightsboro as n~oderateiywell
drained, and !Ulurville as very poorly drained.
lurville is on the New Hanover County Hy~ric Sails A list which means they are
possibly wetland areas and subject ~o regulation under the Clean Uvater Act.
~t should be noted acordin to the Soil Serve of New Hanover Coun the
limitation for dwellin with or without basements and for small commercial buildin
is severe for all of the soils on this site. The limitations are due to fioodin andlor
wetness. An adequate drainage ar~d maintenance plan is Headed for suitable
housing.
The U.. Arrn~ Corps of engineers leas federal jurisdiction over 4~4~ Permits and the
NCIHNR~ dept. of wa~er~~uality~ has note jurisdiction over4o~ Permits under the
Clean vl~ater Act. Before disturbing .possible we~and areas, developers should
contact these agencies to stay in compliance with State end Federal regulations.
