Alamance 20070227_0810_DunbarBuck Agency CommentsHarris, Bobby From: DunbarBuck [DunbarBuck@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 8:10 AM To: bharris Subject: Alamance I talked with Vernon Weedon with the schools yesterday about the possibilities of an access to the Murrayville School. He is passing the request up the line to his superiors. Here are a couple of issues they pointed out: 5 Acre road, as a road, does not exist as a road. It is in fact a very deep ditch. This "road/ditch" is controlled by the Corp of Engineers. If properties are connected, a "bridge" of some type would be necessary with permits from the corp. The school board had requested that the county "close" this road/ditch but they refused to do that, even though it is closed at the east end of the schools property. With it being platted as a "30' public row", it could not be "crossed" legally unless the road itself is closed. All parties agree that this would be nice and the school board may very well agree to the "crossing", but that should not be a condition of approval for Alamance. Weedon said he would get me a letter asap. Thanks, Buck AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com. No virus found in this incoming message.
