Request approval of the January meeting minutes (emailed 20 January 2015).
Port, Waterway & Beach Commission (PWBC) fund balance is ~$3631.98.
NC Water Resources Congress has rescheduled their DC trip to February 23-25. NC Beach
Inlet and Waterway Association (NCBIWA) will be holding the Coastal Local Governments
Meeting on March 16 & 17, 2015 at the NC Aquarium, Pine Knoll Shores.
Current Efforts:
New Hanover County’s (NHC) Kure Beach (KB) Coastal Storm Damage Reduction
(CSDR) Project Authorization
Permit process continues with NC Division of Coastal Management (NCDCM)
NHC’s Wrightsville Beach (WB) CSDR Project Authorization
County Commissioner’s approved the project on 1/20/15
Mason Inlet Relocation Project
New US Army Corps of Engineers Project Mgr. (file review and field visit)
Shallow Draft Inlet (SDI) Permitting
Draft Final NCDCM application under review by stakeholders
Carolina Beach (CB) Reauthorization
USACE South Atlantic Division (SAD) /Wilmington District (SAW) suggested Limited Re-
evaluation Report (LRR) was sent to HQ on 16 December 2014
Local alternative Request for Qualifications (RFQ) goes before the Board on February 16th
