Welcome/Introductions
Request approval of the September meeting minutes (emailed 16 September 2016).
The NC Beach Inlet & Waterway Association’s (NCBIWA) Fall Conference Agenda is tentatively
filled

A brief post-Matthew status of CSDR response (WB, CB and KB).
Current Efforts:
NHC’s Wrightsville Beach (WB) Coastal Storm Damage Reduction (CSDR) Project
NC Division of Coastal Management (NCDCM) Major Permit Modification and the US
Army Corps of Engineers General Permit 291 have been issued.
The Refined Coastal Modeling Report for WB is anticipated in November.
Contract for FY18 plans and specs being circulated for signatures.
Mason Inlet Relocation Project (MIRP)
2016/2017 inlet crossing maintenance event NCDCM Minor Modification issued.
Plans and specs under development.
Carolina Beach Inlet Permit Modification
Inshore Dredge Material Management Site (IDMMS) permit development is in progress.
Carolina Beach CSDR Project, Beach Renourishment Evaluation Report (BRER).
Risk Reduction Plan (non-federal BRER requirement) anticipated in November 2016.
FY16 CB/KB CSDR Maintenance Events
Final accounting is ongoing.

The next Merritt maintenance event is scheduled for 8 days following “Matthew”
Shoreline Mapping
The 2016 mapping data presentation is scheduled for the November PWBC meeting.
Outreach: WRDA16 goes to conference.
