Welcome/Introductions
Request approval of the December meeting minutes (emailed 15December2017).
Current Efforts:
Wrightsville Beach (WB) FY18 Coastal Storm Damage Reduction (CSDR) Project
Weeks’ Marine has proposed their hydraulic cutterhead dredge McCaskill (30” discharge, av. 15K cy/day).
The tentative start date is 31 January and finish date is 6 March.
The regulatory plumbing alignment walkabout is scheduled for 11Jan2018.
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will also provide the Town of WB a project update on
11Jan2018.
The Validation Study development is underway.
Carolina Beach (CB) CSDR Project, Beach Renourishment Evaluation Report (BRER)
The BRER development is underway.
Kure Beach (KB) CSDR Project
Offshore Borrow Area B, USACE Geotechnical Assessment
The vibracoring and the geophysical survey are being scheduled.

The assessment results are intended to be used in KB’s FY19 CSDR plans and specifications.

Mason Inlet Relocation Project (MIRP)
The MIRP’s 2018-2022 Monitoring and Engineering Services contract has been executed.
Sensitive habitat area surveys will begin in February.
The 2018 Waterbird Management Area scope of work (tasks, fee and schedule) has been requested.
Carolina Beach Inlet (CBI)
The most recent maintenance event finished on 16Dec2018.
15,730 cy were removed with 14,070 cy managed within the inshore dredge material management site
(IDMMS).
The next maintenance events are tentatively scheduled for March, June and September.

Shoreline Mapping Program
The 2018 scope of work (tasks, fee and schedule) has been requested.
Refined Coastal Modeling
The WB DRAFT final report is being developed.
The CB final modeling runs are in progress.
The KB modeling runs are also in progress.
