REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING, BOARD OF HEALTH
HElD IN OFFICE OF BOARD

Present: Chairmen Addison Hewlett, Mayor Thomas E. Cooper,
Dr. J. C. Wessell, Dr. W. Houston Moore, and Dr. B. R. Morrison.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
The He~lth Officer presented the monthly reports.
After s general discussion as to whether Or not it mieht be
advisable to change some of the items of the budget adopted by the Board
et its June meeting, it wes decided by the Board members that the budget
be not chp~ged, the items discussed being full-time dentist and a dis- ~
trict nurse.

Mr. Hewlett, cheirman of the committee appointed et the June meeting
to investigete the condition of the present incinerator and make recommenda-
tion to the Board as to whether or not the Board of Health would recommend
to the City Commis=ioners that an item of $40,000 be included in their pro-
posed bond issue for the purchase an installation of e new incinerator,
recommended that effort be made to construct the building with available
material and WPA lebor with the view of purchasing incinerating apperatus
at a later date. The Board approved &his recommendation.
Dr. Moore, cheirman of the committee appointed to investigate sewage
disposal at Seabreeze, reported conditions as they existed at the time of
the committee's investigation, after whieh it was moved by Mayor Cooper
end seconded by Dr. Morrison, that all new buildinga after October I, 1939,
be equipped with flush toilet~ and septic tank sewage disposal systems. Carried.
Dr. Moore discussed with the Board the handling of glasses by sods-
fountain operators and the immersion of bottled drinks in ice coolers.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
