REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING, BOARD OF HEALTH
HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD
JANUARY 11, 1940
Present: Chairman Addison Hewlett, Mr. H. M. Roland, Mayor
Thomas E. Cooper, Dr. W. Houston Moore, and Dr. B. R. Morrison.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
The Health Officer presented the monthly reports.
The Health Officer discussed with the members the feasibility
of making exceptions as to the size of septic tanks and the amount
of tile field permissible as a temporary measure at Carolina Beach
in the case of buildings constructed between nOlr and the installation
of the new sewer system at this resort. It was left to the discretion
of the plumbing inspector and the Health Officer to determine what
would be permissible in each case as a temporary measure. It is to
be understood that if, for any reason, the modern sewer system is not
installed, each property owner granted a special pennission will be
required to bring his sewer system up to standard requirements.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
