Air Pollution Budget: The third year of the Special Air Pollution Study grant
will end on January 31, 19613. This project has supported one full-time Sani-
tarian who has also helped to carry on the other duties of the Sanitation Depart-
ment. Mr. W. H. Cranford, Director of Sanitation Activities, told the Board. that
in order to remain in the program, the County would have to put up $2, 79a. 71 in
local funds. The Board members expressed their feelings that this program had
served its purpose in collecting data and that until stronger laws for enforce-
ment were made on a Statewide or National level that it was useless to continue
collecting this data. Dr. C. B. Davis, Health Director, stated that he felt it
was a mistake to pull out of the program.
After considerable discussion, Dr. Wagoner made the motion that we withdraw from
the Air Pollution Program at this time, and if we need the services of the
Sanitarian who has been paid by this program, and can justify the need, that
Mr. Cranford appear before the County Commissioners requesting that they appro-
priate money for his salary for the remainder of this year and that he be
included in the regular budget request in July, 196a. Dr. Tidler seconded the
motion. Motion carried.

Medicare Account (collections from "Fees for Service") at Peoples Savings and
Loan to extend the Home Health Service Budget from January 1, 1968 through
