A regular meeting of the New Hanover County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
was held at the General Office at 523 S. 17Th St., Wilmington, N. C. on February 21, 2008
at 9:00.A. Ma
Members of the Board present were:
Charles C. Wells, Chairman
Stephen E. Culbreth, Member
Richard V. Hanson, Member
Others in attendance were:
W. R. Williams, Administrator
Brad Williarns,.Assistant Administrator
Det. W. R. Ruefle, New Hanover County Sheriff s Dept.
Jerry Ma en, Attorney to the Board
Stan Paradis, Auditor to the Board
Mr. Culbreth. made a motion that the minutes of the meeting on January 17, 2008
not be read and that they be approved, Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman
Wells so ordered.
Mr. Williams presented the sales for the month of January, 1 --le reported that the
sales for the month were $2,041,538.85 and sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,632,209.06. Monthly comparisons for the same period last year show an increase of
$9,607.06 or .47 %. Yearly sales comparisons show a increase of $1,886,816.71 or
6.56%
Der, Ruefle reported that for the month of January Law Enforcement conducted I I
inspections of the 265 outlets.
Stan Paradis presented the audit report for the quarter ending December 31, 2001.
He reported that the gross profit on sales was up 5%.
Chairman Well extended congratulations and appreciation from, the Board to Mr.
Williams for his 40 years of service with the New Hanover County ABC Board.
Mr, Wells set the date of the next meeting for March 20, 2008.
Mr. Hanson made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting. Mr. Culbreth seconded
the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered,
