A regular meeting of the New Hanover County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
was held at the General Office at 523 & 17"St., Wilmington, N. C. on May 15, 2008 at
9:00 A. M.
Members of the Board present were.
Charles C. Wells, Chairman
Stephen E. Culbreth, Member
Richard V. Hanson, Member
Others in attendance were:
W. R. Williams, Administrator
Brad Williams, Assistant Administrator
Jerry Marmon, Attorney to the Board
Sgt. S. L. Morgan, New Hanover Comity Sheriffs Dept.
Stan Paradis, Auditor to the Board
Mr. Culbreth made a motion that the minutes of the meeting on April 17, 2008 not
be read and that they be approved. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chainnan Wells
so ordered.
Mr. Williams presented the sales for the month of April. He reported that the sales
for the month were $2,439,793.49 and sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,673,313.88. Monthly comparisons for the same period last year show aii increase of
$55,092.04 or 2.31%. Yearly sales comparisons show an increase of $1,445,926.86 or
4.95%.
Sgt. Morgan reported that, for the month of April Law Enfbrcement conducted 9
inspections ofthe 265 outlets,
Stan Paradis presented the audit report for the quarter ending March 31, 200& fie
reported that the sales were up 4% and gross profit was up 4%.
Mr. Wells set the date of the next meetingfor June 19, 2008„
Mr. Hanson made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting,, Mr. Culbreth seconded
the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered,
