A regular meeting of the New Hanover County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
was held at the General Office at 523 S. 17a' St., Wilmington, N. C. on July 17, 2008 at
9:00 A. M.
Members of the Board present were:
Charles C. wells, Chairi-nan
Stephen E. Culbreth, Member
Richard V. Hanson, :fie mber
Others in attendance were:
W. R, Williams, Achninistrator
Brad Williams, Assistant Administrator
Jerry Ma. en, Attorney to the Board
Sgt. S. L. Morgan, New Hanover County Sheriffs Dept.
Mr. Hanson made a motion that the minutes of the meeting on June 19, 2008 not be
read and that they be approved. Mr. Culbreth seconded the motion and Chairman Wells so
ordered.
Mr. Williams presented the sales for the month of June. He reported that the sales
for the month were $2,620,945.49 and sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,546,238,31. Monthly comparisons for the same period last year show a decrease of
$231,910.64 or -8.13%. Yearly sales comparisons show an increase of $794,393.20 or
2.67%.
Sgt. Morgan reported that for the month of June Law Enforcement conducted 9
inspections of the 265 outlets.
Mr.Culbreth made a motion. to distribute profits of $300,000.00 to the municipalities
for the quarter ending June 30, 2008. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman
Wells so ordered.
Mr. Wells set the date of the next meeting for August 21, 200.
Mr. Hanson made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting.. Mr.. Culbreth seconded
the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered.
