Members of the Board 'present were:
Charles C. Wells, Chairman
Stephen E. Culbreth, Member
Richard V. Hanson., Member
Others in attendance were:

Brad Williams, Assistant Administrator
Jerry Mannen, Attorney to the Board
Det. W. R. Ruefle, New Hanover County Sheriffs Dept.
Randy McIntyre, Auditor to the Board
Mr. Culbreth made a motion that the minutes of the meeting On August 21, 2008 not
be read and that they be approved, Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman Wells
so ordered,
Mr. Williams presented the sales for the month of August. He reported that the
sales for the month were $2,884,976.18 and sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,804,089.12. Monthly comparisons for the carne period last year show a decrease of
$6,116.58 or -.21%. Yearly sales comparisons show an increase of $564,406.20 or 1.87%.
Det. Ruefie reported that for the month of August Law Embrcement conducted 11
inspections of the 265 outlets,
Mr. McIntyre presented the audit fbr the quarter ending June 30, 2008. He reported
an increase of 3% in gross profit over the same period last year,
Mr. Willianis requested permission from. the Board to close the stores at 6 P.M. on
December 241h, and remain closed December 25th and 26'h, Mr. Culbreth made a
motion to close these days. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman Wells
so ordered.
