was held at the General Office at 523 S. 17t� St., Wilmington, N. C. on July 16, 2009 at
8:30 A. M.
Members of the Board present were:
Charles C. Wells, Chairman,
Richard V. 1--lanson, Member
Steve Culbreth, Member
Others in attendance were:
W. R. Williams, Administrator
Brad Williams, Assistant Administrator

Det. W. R. Ruefle, New Hanover County Sheriff's Dept.
Sherriff Ed McMahon, New Hanover County Sheriff's Dept,
Col. Arch Jones, New Hanover County Sheriff's Dept
Mr. Culbreth made a motion that the minutes of the meeting on June 18, 2009 not be
read and that they be approved. Mr. Williams seconded the motion and. Chairman Wells
so ordered.
Mr. Williams presented the sales for the month of June. He reported that the sales
for the month were $2,607,383.48 and sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,625,588.15. Monthly comparisons for the same period last year show a decrease of
$13,562-01 or -.52%. Mixed Beverage sales were down $40,612.00 for the month of June.
Yearly sales comparisonsshy w an increase of $79,394.84 car .26%.
Det. Ruefle reported that for the oath of June Law Enforcement conducted 4
inspections of the 265 outlets,
Det. Ruefle was honored for his actions
performed on July 6 at our Market Street
location for pulling an occupant from avehicle 'that had been in the drainage ditch between
our store and the Nissan dealership,
Mr. Culbreth made a motion to distribute $250,000.00 to New Hanover County and
the municipalities for the quarter ending June 30, 2009. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion
and Chainnan Wells so ordered.
Mr. Williams and ABC Board welcorned our new sheriff, Ed McMahon, and Col.
S.A. Jones.

Chairman Wells set the date of the next meeting for August 6, 2009.
Mr. Culbreth made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting and go into executive
session. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered.
