A regular meeting of the New Hanover County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
was held at the General Office at 523 S. 17th St., Wilmington, N. C. on September 24, 2009
at 8:30 A. M.
Members of the Board present were:
Charles C. Wells, Chairman,
Richard V. Hanson., Member
Steve Culbreth, Member
Others in attendance were:
W. R. Williams, Administrator
Brad Williams, Assistant Administrator
Doug Fox, Attorney to the Board
Stan Paradis, Auditor to tbe Board
Sgt. W. R. Ruefle New Hanover County Sheriff s Dept
Mr. Culbreth made a motion that the minutes of the meeting on August 6, 2009 not
be read and that they be approved, Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chain an Wells
so ordered.
Mr. Williams presented thesales for the month of August, He reported that the
sales for the month were $2,567,003.25 aid sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,283,842.20. Monthly comparisons for the same period last year show a decrease of
$31.7,972.93 or -11.02%. Mixed Beverage sales were down $190,984.98 for the month of
August, Yearly sales comparisons show a decrease of $520,246.92 or .-1.69%.
Sgt. Ruefle reported that for the month of August Law.Enforeem,ent conducted 4
inspections of the 273 outlets.
Stan Paradis presented the audit report for the year ending June 30, 2009.1-1e
reported that the gross profit was up I%.
Chairman Wells set the date of the next meeting for October 15, 2009.
Mr. Culbreth made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting. Mr. Hanson seconded
the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered.
