A regular meeting of the New Hanover County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
was held at the General Office at 523 S. 17'h St., Wilmington, N. C. on November 19, 2009
at 8:30 A. M.
Members of the Board present were:
Charles C. Wells, Chairman
Richard V. Hanson, Member
Steve Culbreth, Member
Others in attendance were:
W. R. Williams, Administrator
Brad Williams, Assistant Administrator
Doug Fox, Attorney to the Board
Sgt. W. R. Ruefle New Hanover County Sheriff's Dept.
Stan Paradis, Auditor to the Board
Charlie Rivenbark, Wilmington City Councilman
George Rountree, Attorney
Jacquelyn Jones, Realator
Mr. Culbreth made a motion that the minutes of the meeting on October 15, 2009
not be read and that they be approved. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman
Wells so ordered.
Mr. Williams presented the sales for the month of October. He reported that the
sales for the month were $2,552,459.43 and sales for the twelve-month period were
$30,438,042.87. Monthly comparisons for the same period last year show a decrease of
$17,798.72 or -.69%. Yearly sales comparisons show a decrease of $542,719.05 or -1.75%.
Sgt. Ruefle reported that for the month of October Law Enforcement conducted 4
inspections of the 246 outlets resulting in 3 oral warnings.
Stan Paradis presented the audit report for the quarter ending Sept. 30, 2009. The
audit showed a gross profit on sales 4%.
Chairman Wells set the date of the next meeting for December 17, 2009.

Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Chairman Wells so ordered.
