WHEREAS, after due advertisement, bids were received
and publicly opened by the Finance Department at 10:00 a.m.,
on the 15th day of June, 1990, at the New Hanover County
International Airport, 1901 Hall Drive, Wilmington, North
Carolina, and the following bids were received for Facility
Furnishings and Accessories for the New Hanover County
Airport Authority:

Carolina, the lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of
Fifty-Four Thousand, One Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars and
Twenty-Five Cents ($54,149.25);
AND WHEREAS, the bid provided for the county's right to
add or delete quantities of items specified after the bid
quotes were received;
AND WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase additional
specified items for Group A - Public seating at a price of
six Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars and Twenty-Five
Cents ($6,522.25);
AND WHEREAS, the County
specified items for Group E -

of six-Two Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars and
Thirty-Five Cents ($62,122.35); and that the County is
hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract,
contract form to be approved by the County Attorney.

IN THE MATTER OF NAMING
A PRIVATE ROAD
ORDINANCE
It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners of New
Hanover County that consideration has been given to the naming of
a private road, located in Cape Fear Township commencing 200 feet
south from the Chadwick Avenue, Castle Hayne Road intersection,
extending east 500 feet to its termination and recorded as part
of Plat Book 29, Page 38, Miller/Jacobus Division and it further
appearing that a public hearing was held on Monday, August 6,
1990, at which time all persons were heard on the question of
whether or not the naming would be in ~he public interest, and it
further appearing that notice of said hearing was transmitted to
all resident owners and prominently posted in at least two (2)
locations along said road, and pUblished in the Star News local
newspaper, and the Board of County Commissioners fSOf the
opinion that said private road in New Hanover County should be
named and the naming of same is in the public interest, the
description of which is delineated on the attached exhibit.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AND DECREED that the above
described road is hereby named castle Creek Lane.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a copy of this ordinance be
recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of New Hanover
County, North Carolina, and that notice of the action taken by
the Board of County Commissioners be transmitted to the
postmaster having jurisdiction over the road, the North Carolina
Board of Transportation and to any city within five (5) miles of
said road in accordance with N.C. General Statute 153A-240.

MOBILE HOME AND TRAVEL TRAILER PARK ORDINANCE

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY DOTH ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the Mobile Home and Travel Trailer Park

Ordinance of the County of New Hanover adopted March 2, 1970 as
amended be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
Modify: section VII, Specifications for Mobile Home Parks,
Subsection 7.2 (6) as follows:
(6) Buffering: The mobile home park shall meet the
requirements of Section 67 of the Zoning Ordinance, except
that no decrease in the 75 foot setback shall be allowed if
the buffer width is increased.
Section 2.
Any ordinance or part of any ordinance in
conflict with this ordinance, to the extent of such conflict is
hereby repealed.
Section 3.
This ordinance is adopted in t;.he interest of
public health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the
inhabi tan ts of the County of New Hanover, North Carolina, and
shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.

IN THE MATTER OF ASSIGNING
STREET HOUSE NUMBERS
ORDER
It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners of New
Hanover County that consideration has been given to the
assignment of house numbers on Atlantic Drive; numerical range
1900-1999, Kannapolis Drive, numerical range 1700-1799; and Buena
Vista Drive, numerical range 1900-1999, located in Harnett
Township.
WHEREAS, ready and accurate identification of developed
property is important for the delivery of general County
services, for the operation of commercial enterprises, for the
response of emergency and public safety vehicles, and for the
. convenience of the general public; and
WHEREAS, a comprehensive and systematic property numbering
system is an efficient means of identifying property within the
County; and
WHEREAS, such a system will promote the health, safety, and
welfare of the citizens of New Hanover County.
THEREFORE, it further appearing that a public hearing was
held on the 6th day of August, 1990, at which time all persons
were heard on the question of whether or not assigning house
numbers would be in the public interest, and it further appearing
that notice of said hearing was prominently posted in at least
two (2) locations. along said street, that notice of the time,
place and subject matter of the hearing was prominently posted at
the County Courthouse, and published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordained and decreed that the above
House Number Assignment be made.
It is further ordered that a copy of this ordinance be
transmitted to the postmaster having jurisdiction over the road,
to the Board of Transportation, Sheriff's 911 dispatcher and to
any city within five miles of said road in accordance with N.C.
General Statutes 153A-240.

Home and Travel Trailer Park Ordinance
Modify: Section VII, Specifications for Mobile Home Parks,
Subsection 7.2 (6) as follows:
(6) Buffering: 'The mobile home park shall meet the
requirements of Section 67 of the Zoning Ordinance, except
that no decrease in the 75 foot setback shall be allowed if
the buffer width is increased.
The purpose of this modif ica tion is to make it abundantly
clear that in no case shall any ;l1obile home wi thin a park be
located closer than seventy-five (75) feet to any residentially
zoned property not occupied by a mobile home park. This would be
consistent with the original intent of the setback measures
specified elsewhere in the Mobile Home Park Ordinance.

WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the Board of
County Commissioners of the County of New Hanover requesting that the
above described roads, the location of which has been indicated in red
on the attached map, be added to the Secondary Road System; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that
the above described roads should be added to the Secondary Road System,
if the roads meet minimum standards and criteria established by the
Division of Highways of the Department of Transportation for the
addition of roads to the System.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of
the County of New Hanover that the Division of Highways is hereby
requested to review the above described roads, and to take over the
road for maintenance if they meet established standards and criteria.
