1990-08-06 RM Exhibits ,.. ~t , \. .f "' RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY WHEREAS, after due advertisement, bids were received and publicly opened by the Finance Department at 10:00 a.m., on the 15th day of June, 1990, at the New Hanover County International Airport, 1901 Hall Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina, and the following bids were received for Facility Furnishings and Accessories for the New Hanover County Airport Authority: Group A - Public seating The Office Showcase Carolina Office Equipment Co. Alfred Williams & Co. $45,574.35 $46,749.25 $47,746.39. Group E - Trash Receptacle The Office Showcase Carolina office Equipment Co. Alfred Williams & Co. $ 8,574.90 $10,201.50 $ 8,587.49 AND WHEREAS, the Airport Authority, the Finance Director and the County Manager recommend that the contract for Group A - Public seating and Group E - Trash Receptacle be awarded to The Office Showcase of Wilmington, North Carolina, the lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of Fifty-Four Thousand, One Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars and Twenty-Five Cents ($54,149.25); AND WHEREAS, the bid provided for the county's right to add or delete quantities of items specified after the bid quotes were received; AND WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase additional specified items for Group A - Public seating at a price of six Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars and Twenty-Five Cents ($6,522.25); AND WHEREAS, the County specified items for Group E - One Thousand Four Hundred Cents ($1,450.85); desires to purchase additional Trash Receptacle at a price of Fifty Dollars and Eighty-Five AND and are contract; WHEREAS, funds have been previously appropriated now in Account No. 660-450-8121-6421 to cover this ~ . ~ ~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of New Hanover County that the contract for Facility Furnishings and Accessories, Group A - Public Seating and Group E Trash Receptacle for the Airport Authority, be awarded to The Office Showcase in the amount of six-Two Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars and Thirty-Five Cents ($62,122.35); and that the County is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract, contract form to be approved by the County Attorney. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AND DECREED that the above described road is hereby named castle Creek Lane. ,8 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a copy of this ordinance be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of New Hanover County, North Carolina, and that notice of the action taken by the Board of County Commissioners be transmitted to the postmaster having jurisdiction over the road, the North Carolina Board of Transportation and to any city within five (5) miles of said road in accordance with N.C. That the Mobile Home and Travel Trailer Park . . -.- , Ordinance of the County of New Hanover adopted March 2, 1970 as amended be and the same is hereby amended as follows: Modify: section VII, Specifications for Mobile Home Parks, Subsection 7.2 (6) as follows: (6) Buffering: The mobile home park shall meet the requirements of Section 67 of the Zoning Ordinance, except that no decrease in the 75 foot setback shall be allowed if the buffer width is increased. Section 2. Any ordinance or part of any ordinance in conflict with this ordinance, to the extent of such conflict is hereby repealed. Section 3. WHEREAS, ready and accurate identification of developed property is important for the delivery of general County services, for the operation of commercial enterprises, for the response of emergency and public safety vehicles, and for the . convenience of the general public; and WHEREAS, a comprehensive and systematic property numbering system is an efficient means of identifying property within the County; and WHEREAS, such a system will promote the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of New Hanover County. THEREFORE, it further appearing that a public hearing was held on the 6th day of August, 1990, at which time all persons were heard on the question of whether or not assigning house numbers would be in the public interest, and it further appearing that notice of said hearing was prominently posted in at least two (2) locations. along said street, that notice of the time, place and subject matter of the hearing was prominently posted at the County Courthouse, and published in a newspaper of general circulation in the County. NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordained and decreed that the above House Number Assignment be made. It is further ordered that a copy of this ordinance be transmitted to the postmaster having jurisdiction over the road, to the Board of Transportation, Sheriff's 911 dispatcher and to any city within five miles of said road in accordance with N.C. The purpose of this modif ica tion is to make it abundantly clear that in no case shall any ;l1obile home wi thin a park be located closer than seventy-five (75) feet to any residentially zoned property not occupied by a mobile home park. This would be consistent with the original intent of the setback measures specified elsewhere in the Mobile Home Park Ordinance. --:--- . .... . .' NORTH CAROLINA STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REQUEST FOR ADDITION TO STATE MAINTAINED SECONDARY ROAD SYSTEM North Carolina County of New Hanover Description: Fawn Creek Drive, Section I Deer Haven Court, Antler Drive and Elk Trail (Division File #649-N) Fawn Creek Drive, section II (Division File No. 645-N) ~j . WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the Board of County Commissioners of the County of New Hanover requesting that the above described roads, the location of which has been indicated in red on the attached map, be added to the Secondary Road System; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that the above described roads should be added to the Secondary Road System, if the roads meet minimum standards and criteria established by the Division of Highways of the Department of Transportation for the addition of roads to the System.
