The meeting reached a quorum. Approval of Minutes: Minutes from the March 16, 2005 meeting were reviewed noting one correction to adjournment time from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Motion by Nancy Pritchett and second by Bill Terrell. Consideration of Absences: Ann Griffith and Tanky Meier were excused. Richard Trask and Virginia Chiarello were unexcused. 􀀦􀁋􀁄􀁌􀁕􀁐􀁄􀁑􀂶􀁖􀀃􀀵􀁈􀁓􀁒􀁕􀁗􀀝 Don Fishero Deferred to Committee reports. CFM Associates membership telethon. Made approximately 200 calls and was successful on having twenty-five request renewal information. Meeting of area attractions to be held on April 21, 2005, at the Hilton. Associates Report: Jack Mills Expanded on telethon. Long Range Planning Committee met. Main topic was restructuring fund raising efforts. Restructuring of corporate benefits package should be complete within the next 1-2 months. Finance Committee met on April 20, 2005 and began developing 2006 budget. The first hour of staff research time or technology resources is free. A fee of $25 per hour for New Hanover County residents and $50 per hour for non-County residents will be charged for each additional hour. Any fraction of an hour will be rounded to the nearest half hour. Motion passed. Eighty-one items presented for deaccession. Tim expanded on how the items are handled after deaccession. Marketing Committee: Scott Brooks Great job on the new web site. Update on the collaborative effort of all area attractions. Expanded on how educational programs can impact membership. Fund Raising: Don Fishero Second phase of feasibility study will take place April 26 and 27. Ruth discussed the scope of the second phase. Museum Update: Ruth Haas 􀀵􀁈􀁙􀁌􀁈􀁚􀁈􀁇􀀃􀁓􀁒􀁌􀁑􀁗􀁖􀀃􀁌􀁑􀀃􀁗􀁋􀁈􀀃􀀧􀁌􀁕􀁈􀁆􀁗􀁒􀁕􀂶􀁖􀀃􀀵􀁈􀁓􀁒􀁕􀁗􀀃􀁉􀁒􀁕� �􀀰􀁄􀁕ch. Updated the Board on the NC Legislative group tour of the Museum on April 16. Minor restructuring of Collections Department staff. The Museum has been designated to receive $100,000 donation to support the expansion project. Williston Auditorium will be repainted and new carpet installed during last two weeks of May. Collections acquisition from old country store in Rico, North Carolina.
