SRECO Jet-Vac Sanitary Services $16,562.70 $16,676.00 $17,198.98 $17,250.00 AND WHEREAS, Centralized Purchas ing, the Engineering Departm'ent, the Finance Director and the County Manager recommend that the contract be awarded to Public Works Equipment & Supply Co., Monroe, N. C., thp. lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Two Dollars and Seventy Cents ($16,562.70); AND WHEREAS, funds have been previously appropriated and are now in Account No. 800-470-6400 to cover this contract; I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commlssioners of New Hanover County that the contract for a Trailer Mounted Water Jet Cleaner be awarded to Public Works Equipment & Supply Co., Monroe, N. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to return to bid deposits of the unsuccessful bidders. 1987. t>-~ County Commissioners 1'.)0-' '.' ) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PRIVATE SALE OF TAX FORECLOSED PROPERTY WHEREAS, New Hanover County and the City of Wilmington own a tract or parcel of land located at 510 Swann Street more particularly identified herein by virtue of that deed dated September 30, 1986 and recorded in Book 1345 at Page 1524 of the New Hanover County Registry; and WHEREAS, New Hanover County and the City of Wilmington acquired their respective interests in the property identified herein pursuant to a foreclosure sale for non-payment of delinquent property taxes conducted by the Sheriff of New Hanover County on July 21, 1986; and WHEREAS, Ernest Johnson was named as judgment debtor in the tax foreclosure action referred to herein; and WHEREAS, Ernest Johnson and his wife, Mabel Johnson, died leaving no surviving children; and WHEREAS, Susie A. (Boykin) Chestnut is a surviving heir at law of Ernest Johnson and has offered the sum of $),132.25 to repurchase this property at private sale pursuant to N.C.G.S. 105-376(c). WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of New Hanover County believes that I it is in the best public interest to approve a private sale to Susie A. (Boykin) Chestnut as heir at law of Ernest Johnson pursuant to N.C.G.S. 105-376(c). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1) The Board of Commissioners of New Hanover County hereby approves a private sale of a 50.2 percent undivided interest by Susie A. Chestnut for the property more particularly identified as follows, for the sum of $1,132.25, to wit: Beginning at a point in the Southern line of Swann Street 150 feet Westwardly from the Southwestern intersection of Swann and Sixth Streets and runs thence Southwardly and parallel with Sixth Street 50 feet and 2 inches; thence Westwardly and parallel with Swann Street 25 feet more or less to the Hilton Line; thence along the Hilton line Northwestwardly about 60 feet to Swann Street; thence Eastwardly along the Southern line of Swann Street 45 feet more or less to the Beginning, the same being part of Lot 1 Block 307 according to the official plan of said City of Wilmington. ';.,,,' It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners of New Hanover County that consideration has been given to the naming a private road (easement), located in Harnett Township approximately 1,400' west of DarbyfGreenville Loop Road intersection commencing from said point north, northeast for a distance of 2,300' to termination and duly recorded as part of Plat Book 26, Page 43 et al and it further appearing that a public hearing was held on Monday, June l5, 1987 at which time all persons were heard on the question of whether or not the naming would be in the public interest, and it further appearing that notice of said hearing was transmitted to all resident owners and prominently posted in at least two (2) locations along said road, and published in the Star News local newspaper, and the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that said private road in New Hanover County should be named and the naming of same is in the public interest, the description of which is delineated on the attached exhibit. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AND DECREED that the above described road is hereby named Woodland Trace. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a copy of this ordinance be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of New Hanover County, North Carolina, and that notice of the action taken by the Board of County Commissioners be transmitted to the postmaster having jurisdiction over the road, the North Carolina Board of Transportation ,and to any city within five (5) miles of said road in accordance with N.C.
