1985-04-01 RM Exhibits ., RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY RELATING TO CHANGES ON THE NEW HANOVER COUNTY TOWNSHIP MAP WHEREAS, New Hanover County maintains a map showing the current boundaries of each township within the County, and WHEREAS, the Ci ty of Wilmington has recently annexed -into said City an area of the County heretofore designated a portion of Harnett Township, and WHEREAS, New Hanover County recognizes the necessity of changing and correcting the existing boundaries of said County Township Map; NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1'1' RESOLVED, the Board of Commis- sioners of New Hanover County, pursuant to G.S. ~153A-19, does hereby change the boundary of Harnett Township to the extent necessary to show the current boundaries of each township within New Hanover County as shown on said County Township Map. day of April, 1985. That the Zoning Ordinance of the County of New Hanover adopted October 6, 1969, as amended be and the same is hereby further amended as fol lows: I. Amend Article V, District Regulations, Section 50-2, Table of Permitted Uses, to make "Dwell ing Units Contained within Principal Uses" a permitted Special Use in the I-I, 1-2, and AI Districts. The office of coroner in New Hanover County is abolished. Section 2. Chapter 152 of the General Statutes is not applicable to New Hanover County. Section 3. This act is effective December 1, 1986. N fm llannufr <Ununtn iJnnrb nf QtnmmtsstnntfS llroclamatton WHEREAS, Radio Station WMFD was the first broadcasting facility licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to begin regular broadcast service in New Hanover County, ranking as the sixth oldest radio station in the State of North Carolina; and WHEREAS, Radio Station WMFD participated in the development of the first frequency modulation (FM) radio broadcast service to New Hanover County and participated in the development of the first television service to New Hanover County; and WHEREAS, Radio Station WMFD participated, most recently, in December, 1984, in the development of the first amplitude modulation (AM) Stereo radio broadcast service: and WHEREAS, Radio Station WMFD has retained its original call letters, and now has occasion to celebrate PIPTY YEARS OF radio broadcast service; and WHEREAS, Radio Station WMFD has and continues to give freely of its time and resources to the betterment of New Hanover County by every means at its disposal including community service programming, promotion expertise and volunteer work, in addition to regular programming encompassing the daily coverage of local events: and WHEREAS, Radio Station WMFD is the only radio broadcasting facility serving New Hanover County under ownership and leadership comprised entirely of local New Hanover County citizens: ~!
