PROJECT ORDINANCE
SCHEMATIC DESIGN - NEW TERMINAL COMPLEX
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Commissioners of New
Hanover County:
WHEREAS:
1. New Hanover County (Couhty) is engaged in the
Schematic Design of the New Terminal Complex, which capital
project involves the construction or acquisition of capital
assets.
2. County desires to authorize and budget for said
capital project in a project ordinance adopted pursuant to
North Carolina General Statute ~159.13.2, such ordinance to
authorize all appropriations necessary for the completion of
said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, WITNESSETH THAT:
1. This project ordinance is adopted pursuant to North
Carolina General Statute $l59.13.2.
2. The capital project undertaken pursuant to this ordi-
nance is the schematic design of the new terminal complex, which
project is herewith authorized.
3. The revenue that will finance said project is:

for its citizens by providing financial support to eight volunteer fire depart-
ments in the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the New Hanover County Board of
Commissioners that the Chairman of the County Commissioners is authorized and
di~ected to enter into contracts with the Castle Hayne Volunteer Fire Department,
Inc., Federal Point Volunteer Fire Department, Inc~, Myrtle Grove Volunteer Fire

WHEREAS, New Hanover County is interested in providing financial
support to agencies that serve publ ic purposes including economic and physical
development, cultural and recreational programs, social services, and industrial
promotion; and,
WHEREAS, New Hanover County is interested in providing financial
support to agencies that benefit the citizens of the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the New Hanover County Board of
Commissi9ners that the Chairman of County Commissioners is authorized and
directed to enter into contracts with the fol lowing agencies to fund amounts
as approved in the FY 1985-86 New Hanover County Budget.

WHEREAS, New Hanover County is interested in providing emergency
medical service for its citizens in part through providing financial support
to three volunteer rescue squads;
NOW" THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the New Hanover County Board of
Commissioners that the Chairman of the County Commissioners is authorized and
directed to enter into contracts with the New Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad,
Inc., Ogden Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc., and Pleasure Island Volunteer Rescue
Squad, Inc. for FY 1985-86, or any portion of 1985-86. The County Manager is
authorized to advance the rescue squads one-twelfth of the amount they received
from the County in FY 1984-85, on a montb..;'t0-monthbas is "unti t a contract is

ORDER
It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners of New Hanover County that
a Resolution of the County Commissioners of New Hanover County of intent to close
the Sycamore Avenue was adopted by the County Commissioners on the 3rd day of
June, 1985, and it further appearing that said resolution cal led for a hearing to
'be held on the 1st day of July, 1985, at which time the County Commissioners
would hear complaints and comments of interested persons, and it further
appearing that notice of said hearing was publ ished in the Wi Imington Star-News
Newspaper in accordance wiTh the Road Closing Ordinance of New Hanover County,
and after conducting such hearing the County Commissioners are of the opinion
that said Sycamore Road in the County of New Hanover should be closed and are
satisfied that the closing of same is not contrary TO the public interest, and
that no individual owning properTY in the vicinity of the roads wil I be deprived
of reasonable measn of ingress and egress to his property by such closing; the
legal description of said roads being as fot lows:

Being in its entirely, Sycamore Avenue is anchored to the northwest
by Oleander Drive and Bagley Avenue to the southeast. Extending
for a distance of 150 feet, said road is recorded in Book 2, Page 31,
New Hanover County Registe~,of Deeds.
NOW, THEREFORE, ITIS ORDERED AND DECREED that the above described road be
and the same is hereby closed. It is further ORDERED that a copy of this order
be filed in_ the ,Office of the Register of Deeds o~ New Hanover County, North
