RESOLUTION
OF THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF
NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WHEREAS Chapter 143. Article 8 of the North Carolina
General Statutes establishes formal procedures for letting of
public contracts involving County expenditures 6f $19~OOO or
more, establishes informal procedures for contracts of $2,500
or more, but sets no requirements for contracts involving County
expenditures of less than $2,500; and
WHEREAS Chapter 160A, Article 12 of the North Caro-
lina General Statutes establishes formal procedures for the sale
of County real property, or County personal property valued at
$5,000 or more, but permits private negotiation and sale with
respect to personal property valued at less than $5,000; and
WHEREAS the establishment of an expedited procedure
for the administration of minor County contracts will result in
more efficient and economical County government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the County Manager is hereby a~thorized to
execute, on behalf of the New Hanover County Board of County
Commissioners, all contracts involving the expenditure of less
than $2,500 of County funds.
2. That the County Manager is hereby authorized
to execute, on behalf of the New Hanover County Board of County
Commissioners, all contracts involving the sale of County pers-
onal property valued at less than $5,000.

WHEREAS, after due advertisement, bids were received
and publicly opened by the Finance Department
at 2 :00 o'clock A.r1./p.M. on the 22nd day of February
1984, at the County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut
Street, Wilmington, North Carolina, and the following bids were
received' for

Wilmington Lawn and Leisure

Tulloss Tractor Company
$15,750.00
AND WHEREAS, the
Parks and Recreation
Department,
the Finance Director and the County Manager recommend that the
contract be awarded to Wilmington Lawn and Leisure
the lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of

Commissioners of New Hanover County that the contract for

in the amount of Thirteen thousand nine hundred and no/lOO's
Dollars ($ l3,900.00 );
and that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners or the
County Manager is ~ereby authorized and directed to execute the
contract on behalf of New Hanover County, contract form to be
approved by the County Attorney and bid deposit to be retained
until the successful bidder has executed and delivered the
contract and, if required, satisfactory bond.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent is
hereby authorized to return the bid deposits of the unsuccessful
bidders.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF NEW HANOVER
AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY ADOPTED
FEBRUARY 17, 1969
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY rom ORDAIN:
Section 1. The Subdivision Regulations of the County of New Hanover adopted
February 17, 1969, as amended be, and the same is hereby further amended as
follows:
A. Amend Article II, Section 1, Definitions as follows:
(21) 100 Year Flood Area - The area of 100 year flood inundation
as shown on New Hanover County's Official Flood Insurance Maps.
(22) 100 Year Coastal Hazard V Zone Area - The area of 100 year
coastal flood inundation with high velocity waters and
hurricane wave action as shown on New Hanover County's
Official Flood Insurance Maps.
B. Amend Article III, ,Section 4.4, Contents of the Final Plat as
follows:
(12) Location of the 100 year flood area and coastal flood hazard
V zone as per New Hanover County's Official Flood Insurance
Map.
Section 2. Any ordinance or any part of any ordinance in conflict with this
ordinance, to the extent of such conflict, is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance is adopted in the interest of public health,
safety, morals, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the County of New
