RESOLUTION
OF THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT
BOARD OF DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, G.S. Chapter 153A, Article 15 authorizes
counties to establish water and sewer systems, and G.S. Chapter
162A, Article 6 authorizes counties to establish water and sewer
districts; and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County has established the New
Hanover County Water and Sewer District, which District has
arranged for construction of a sewer system in the unincorporated
County; and
WHEREAS, the District desires to locate portions of the
sewer system within certain public rights-of-way in New Hanover
County; and
WHEREAS, various streets and rights-of-way in New
Hanover County have been dedicated to the public use by the
recordation of a subdivision plat or other map; and
WHEREAS, G.S. 153A-158 authorizes counties to acquire a
fee or lesser interest in real property by gift, grant or other
lawful method; and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County desires to accept the offer
of dedication of certain streets and public easements for the
purposes of providing sewer and water services to County
residents by and through the New Hanover County Water and Sewer
District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:

That New Hanover County Water and Sewer District hereby
accepts the offers of dedication of the portions of the streets
and easements delineated in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, for the purposes of
providing water and sewer service.

EXHIBIT A
New Ha.nover County Water & Sewer District accepts for
purposes of water and/or sewer service the offers of public
dedication of the following streets:
A street 43.6 feet in width, presently referred to as
"New Road", running perpendicular to Tanglewood Drive, as shown
on a plat of Tanglewood Subdivision, Section 1, recorded in Map
Book 7, Page 29, New Hanover County Registry.
A stree"t 50.0 feet in width, presently referred to as
"50 foot road", running from said street's intersection with "New
Road" (said "New Road" being designated on Tanglewood
Subdivision, Section 1 Plat as "Present Dirt Road") a distance of
817.6 feet to Masonboro Sound, as shown on the plat of Tanglewood
Subdivision, Section 1, recorded in Map Book 7, Page 29, New
Hanover County Registry.
A street designated as Talltree Lane as shown on a plat
of Talltree, Section 1, recorded in Map Book 20, Page 15, and as
shown on a plat of Talltree, Section 2, recorded in Map Book 25,
Page 75, both on record in the New Hanover County Registry.
A street designated as Bernards Landing Road as shown
on a plat of Huntington Forest, Section 1, recorded in Map Book
26, Page 120, and as shown on a plat of Huntington Forest,
Section 2, recorded in Map Book 28 at Page 45, both on record in
the New Hanover County Registry.
A street designated as Kennesaw Court as shown on a
plat of Huntington Forest, Section 2, recorded. in Map Book 28,
Page 45, New Hanover County Registry.
A street designated as Long Branch Drive as shown on a
plat of Long Branch Subdivision, Se.ction 2 recorded in Map Book
23, Page 2, New Hanover County Registry.
A street designated as Walker Ridge Court as shown on a
plat of Huntington Forest, Section 2, recorded in Map Book 28,
Page 45, New Hanover County Registry.
A street designated as Shadow Branch Lane as shown on a
plat of Beyond the Branch recorded in Map Book 26, Page 24, New
Hanover County Registry.
