RESOLUTION
OF THE
BOAP.D OF DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS
OF THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT
WHEREAS G. S. Chapter 153A, Article. 15 authorizes
counti.es to establish water and sewer systems, and G. S. Chapter
162A, Article. 6 authoriz.es counties to establish water and sewer
districts; and.
WHEREA.S New Hanover County has established the New
Hanover County. Water and Sewer' District, which District, has,
arranged for construction of a sewer system' in the unincorporated,
County; and
WHEREAS the' District desires to locate portions of the'
sewer system within the rights-of-way of certain streets in New
Hanover County; and
WHEREAS various streets in New Hanover County have been
dedicated to the public. use.. by t,he recordation of a subdivisi.on'
plat or other map; and
WHEREAS G. S. 153A-158 authorizes, count'ies to acquire a,
fee or lesser interest in real. property by g.ift, grant or other
lawful method; and.
WHEREAS New Hanover County desires to accept the off,er
of dedica,tion of a certain eas,ement. for the, purposes' of providing,'
sewer and water services to County residents by and, through the
New Hanover 'County Water and Sewer. District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That New Hanover County Water and Sewer District.: hereby
accepts the offers of dedica.tion of the- porti.ons: of. the streets
delineated, in Exhibit A, which' is attached her.eto and.
incorporated here;in by ref'erence, for the purposes of providing
water and sewer service.
