RESOLUTION
OF THE
DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF
WATER & SEWER DISTRICT OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WHEREAS, after due advertisement, bids were received and
publicly opened by the Finance Department at 3:30 p.m. on the 21st
day of September, 1993, at the County Administration Building,
320 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, North Carolina, and the following
bids were received for a trailer mounted generator for the Water
and Sewer Engineering Department, Bid # 94-0069:
Covington Diesel
Gregory Poole Equipment Co.
Coastal Carolina Yacht Yard
Owsley & Sons, Inc.
$25,384.00
$25,235.00
$23,415.00
$19,300.00
AND WHEREAS, after thoroughly evaluating bids received, staff
has determined that only the bid from Covington Diesel, the highest
bid received, complied with the specifications;
AND WHEREAS, the County Engineer, the Finance Director and the
County Manager recommend that all bids be rejected and the trailer
mounted generator be re-bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the District Board of
Commissioners of the New Hanover County Water and Sewer District
that all bids received for a trailer mounted generator for the
Water and Sewer Engineering Department, Bid # 94-0069 be rejected
and the item be re-bid.
