RESOLUTION
OF THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF
NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WHEREAS, after due advertisement, bids were received and
publicly opened by the New Hanover County Department of Engineering
on the 23rd day of November, 1994 at the County Administration
Annex Building, 414 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, North Carolina,
and the following bids were received for the MONKEY JUNCTION
INTERCEPTOR sanitary sewer construction project:
WEBCON, INC.
R.H. MOORE
DELLINGER
STATE UTILITIES
$1,036,776.04
$1,099,249.00
$1,197,528.00
$1,327,744.00
AND WHEREAS, AFTER NEGOTIATING A REDUCED PRICE WITH WEBCON,
the County Engineer, the Finance Director and the County Manager
recommend that the contract be awarded to WEBCON,INC.of SMITHFIELD,
NC, the lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of $ 995,776.00;
AND WHEREAS, funds will be available from fund 817;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of New Hanover County that the contract for the
MONKEY JUNCTION INTERCEPTOR, BID # 95-0151 be awarded. to
WEBCON,INCORPORATED in the amount of $ 995,776 and that the County
is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract, contract
form to be approved by the County Attorney.
