A RESOLUTION
OF THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, G.S. Chapter 153 A, Article 15 authorizes counties to establish water and sewer systems, and
G.S. Chapter 162A, Article 6 authorizes counties to establish a water and sewer district; and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County has established the New Hanover County Water and Sewer District,
which District has arranged for construction of a sewer system in the unincorporated County; and
WHEREAS, the District desires to locate portions of the sewer system within dedicated subdivision streets,
easements and/or common areas in New Hanover County; and
WHEREAS, various easements in New Hanover County have been dedicated to the public use by the
recordation of a subdivision plat or other map; and
WHEREAS, G.S. 153A-158 authorizes acquisition of a fee or lesser interest in real property by gift, grant or
other lawful method; and
WHEREAS, the New Hanover County Water and Sewer District desires to accept the offer of dedication of
certain easements for the purpose of providing sewer and/or water services to County residents by and through the
New Hanover County Water and Sewer District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That New Hanover County Water and Sewer District hereby accepts for sewer and/or water utility the offer of
dedication of those drainage and/or drainage and utility easements as more fully described as follows:
. Ivy Wood at Runnymeade Subdivision, Section 1, recorded in Map Book 29, Page 64, New Hanover
County Registry;
. Ivy Wood at Runnymeade Subdivision, Section 3, recorded in Map Book 29, Page 171, New
Hanover County Registry;
. Ivy Wood at Runnymeade Subdivision, Section 5, recorded in Map Book 31, Page 24, New Hanover
County Registry; and
. Ivy Wood at Runnymeade Subdivision, Section 7, recorded in Map Book31, Page 31, New Hanover
County Registry.
The New Hanover County Water and Sewer District does not accept said easements for purposes of
providing any drainage services or maintenance whatsoever.
