RESOLUTION OF INTENT
TO CLOSE PUBLIC ROADS
WHEREAS,
a petition has been filed pursuant to G.S.
~153A-24l, requesting the Board of Commissioners of New Hanover
County to close the public roads described in Exhibit A attached
hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board is con-
sidering closing said roads to public use, and that a public
hearing on this question will be held on the 8th day of January,
1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the cafeteria of College Park
Elementary School, Oriole Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina, at
which time the Board will hear all interested citizens and make a
final determination as to whether said roads shall be closed.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the New Hanover
County Board of Commissioners on the 3rd day of December, 1984.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of
19_, by and between NEW HANOVER COUNTY, a politi-
cal subdivision of the State of North Carolina, hereinafter
referred to as "County," and

North Carolina, hereinafter referred to as "Vendor";

WHEREAS, County advertised for bids for
Department Uniforms
and bids were received and opened as required by law; and
WHEREAS, after careful consideration of the bid

in consideration of the mutual bene-

in the proposal or in the specifications attached hereto.
2. The total purchase price for said goods in the sum

3. The specifications, the proposal, the advertise-

shall remain with Vendor until the goods are delivered to County
F.O.B.

In connection with the performance of this
contract, Vendor agrees not to discriminate against any employee
or applicant for employment because of race, religion, color, sex
or national origin. Vendor agrees to take affirmative actions to
insure that applicants are employed, and that employees are
treated during this employment, without regard to their race,
religion, color, sex or national origin.

7. This contract constitutes the entire understanding
of the parties and contains all of the terms agreed upon with
respect to the subject matter hereof.
No modification or
rescission of this contract shall be effective unless evidenced
by a signed writing.

Section 3. All appropriations shall firstly be paid from revenues restricted
as to use and secondly from general unrestricted revenues.
Section 4. The Superintendent is hereby authorized to .transfer appropriations
within a fund under the following conditions:
a. He may transfer amounts between subfunctions and objects of
expenditure within a function without limitations, and without
a report to the Board of Education being required.
b. He may transfer amounts not to exceed $1,000 between functions
of the same fund with a report on such transfers being required
at the next meeting of this Board of Education.
c. He may not transfer any amounts between funds nor from any
contingency appropriation within a fund.
Section 5. Copies of the Budget Resolution shall be immediately furnished to
the Superintendent and School Finance Officer for direction in carrying out
their duties.

109 of the North Carolina General Statutes, the Board of
Commissioners of New Hanover County, at its regular meeting on
December 3, 1984, approved the Bonds of the Clerk of Superior
Court of New Hanover Cpunty, New Hanover County Finance Officer,
New Hanover County Sheriff, New Hanover County Coroner, Register
of Deeds of New Hanover County, New Hanover County Tax Collector
and Chairman of the New Hanover County ABC Board, and FURTHER
RESOLVED, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners is hereby
authorized, empowered and directed to certify said approval on
the original of each such Bond, with the exception of the Bond of
the Clerk of Superior Court, which is not physically present in
New Hanover County.

WHEREAS, in recognition of Dorothy Johnson for thirty-
one years of outstanding service as a teacher in the State of
North Carolina, twenty-eight years in New Hanover County; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her dedicated and loyal
service as a member of the New Hanover County Board of Education
for eight years; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her selection as one of
twenty-two members throughout the State of North Carolina to
serve on the Inter-Agency Council of Community Schools appointed
by Governor James B. Hunt; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the New Hanover
County Board of Commissioners respectfully request consideration
of the New Hanover County Board of Education to name the
Northside School in memory of Dorothy Johnson for her loyal and
dedicated effort to promote an equal and better quality of
education to the citizens of New Hanover County and throughout
the State of North Carolina.
