RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the requirements of Chapter
109 of the North Carolina General Statutes,
the Board of
Commissioners of New Hanover County, at its regular meeting on
December 5, 1983, approved the Bonds of the Clerk of Superior
Court of New Hanover County, New Hanover County Finance Officer,
New Hanover County Sheriff, New Hanover County Coroner, Register
of Deeds of New Hanover County, New Hanover County Tax Collector
and Chairman of the New Hanover County ABC Board, and FURTHER
RESOLVED, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners is hereby
authorized, empowered and directed to certify said approval on
the original of each such Bond, with the exception of the Bond of
the Clerk of Superior Court,
which is not physically present in

OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of Section
18B-700 of the North Carolina General Statutes, the Board of
Commissioners of New Hanover County, at its regular meeting on
December 5, 1983, does hereby exempt from the bond requirement of
said Section 18B-700 any member of the New Hanover County ABC
Board who does not handle Board funds and thereby shall only
require that the Chairman of the New Hanover County ABC Board be

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of Section
162-8 of the North Carolina General Statutes, the Board of
Commissioners of New Hanover County, at its regular meeting on
December 5, 1983, determined that the required Sheriff's Bond

WHEREAS, the need exists throughout the County,
as well as the State and Nation, for skilled medical,
social, and supportive services in the homes of our
citizens; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the fact that many
of those needing such services are not aware that such
are available through the New Hanover County Health
Department and Comprehensive Home Health Care, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE I, Jonathan Barfield, Sr., Vice-
Chairman of the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners,
do hereby proclaim the week of November 27 through
December 3, 1983 as
NATIONAL HOME HEALTH WEEK

RESOLUTION OF INTENT
TO CLOSE A PUBLIC ROAD
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed pursuant to G. S. l53A-
241, requesting the Board of Commissioners of New Hanover County
to close the following described public road:
BEGINNING at a point in the Southern right of way of U.S.
Highway #74 (75 feet from the center line thereof), said point
being located South 50 degrees 45 minutes East 285.3 feet as
measured along the Southern right of way line of U.S. Highway #74
from its point of intersection with the center line of Burke
Avenue. Running thence from said beginning point with the
Southern right of way line of U.S. Highway #74, South 50 degrees
45 minutes East 50.0 feet to a point; Running thence South 39
degrees 15 minutes West 100.0 feet to a point; Running thence
South 50 degrees 45 minutes East 125.0 feet to a point; Running
thence South 64 degrees 46 minutes 45 seconds West 55.42 feet to
a point; Running thence North 50 degrees 45 minutes West 151.95
feet to a point; Running thence North 39 degrees 15 minutes East
150.0 feet to the point of beginning, including all of Skelding
Avenue and the Southeastern portion of MacRae Avenue as shown on
a map of Villa View Subdivision recorded in Book 52, Page 563 in
March, 1908.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, tha t thi s Board is
considering closing said road to public use, and that a public
hearing on this question will be held on the _3~ day of
~~, 1984, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the Assembly Room of the
countP Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street, Wilmington,
North Carolina, at which time the Board will hear all interested
citizens and make a final determination as to whether the road
shall be closed.

RESOLUTION OF THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Division of Environmental Management of
the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community
Development has offered to award to New Hanover County a $997,500
grant from the State Clean Water Fund to aid in design and
construction of an interceptor trunk system including
approximately 39,400 L.F. of 8- to 24-inch interceptor sewers and
two (2) pump stations with force mains; and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County desires to accept said
offer, subject to all assurances contained in Section II of the
Offer and Acceptance' document for State Project No. WT-423;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The Board of Commissioners of New Hanover County
hereby makes all the assurances contained in Section II of the
attached Offer and Acceptance document for Sta te Pro j ect
No. WT-423.
2. The Board of Commissioners of New Hanover County
hereby accepts the $997,500 Clean Water Grant offer for State
Project No. WT-423, accepts all conditions stated therein, and
authorizes the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners to sign the
on behalf of New Hanover County.
