1982-02-08 RM Exhibits AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF NEW HANOVER, NORTH CAROLINA AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY ADOPTED OCTOBER 6, 1969 , - THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY DOTH ORDAIN: Section 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the County of New Hanover adopted October 6, 1969, as amended be and the same is hereby further amended as fo 11 ows : I. Amend Section 23 Definitions, Subsection 8, IIDwe11ing Mobile Homell to read: Dwelling, Mobile Home 23-8 - Mobile Home means a movable or portable dwelling over thirty-two (32) feet in length and over eight (8) feet wide, constructed to be towed on its own chassis and designed without a permanent foundation for year-round occupancy, which includes one (1) or more components that can be retracted for towinq purposes and subsequently expanded for additional capacity, or of two (2) or more units separately towable but designed to be joined into one (1) integral unit, and not complying with the North Carolina State Uniform Residential Building Code. Section 2. Any ordinance or part of any ordinance in conflict with this ordinance, to the extenf of such conflict is hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance is adopted in the interest of public health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the County of New Hanover, North Carolina, and shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. That the Mobile Home and Travel Trailer Park Ordinance of the County of New Hanover adopted March 2,1970, as amended be and the same is hereby further amended as follows: I. Amend Section IV, Subsection 4.4 (3) of the New Hanover County Mobile Home & Travel Trailer Park Ordinance to read: (3) Mobile Home - Mobile home means a movable or portable dwelling over thirty-two (32) feet in length and over eight (8) feet wide, constructed to be towed on its own chassis and designed without a permanent foundation for year-round occupancy, which includes one (1) or more components that can be retracted for towing purposes and subsequently expanded for additional capacity, or of two (2) or more units separately towable but designed to be joined into one (1) integral unit, and not complying with the North Carolina State Uniform Residential Building Code. II. Amend Section VI, Subsection 4.4 (4) to read: (4) Mobile Home Park - Mobile home park shall mean any site or tract of land upon which are located at least three (3) or more mobile home spaces to be occupied for dwelling or sleeping purposes, regardless of whether or not a charge is made for such service. Mobile home subdivisions shall be subject to the New Hanover County Subdivision Regulations. III. Amend Section VI, Subsection 6.1 (a) to read: 6.1 Site Development (a) Every mobile home park shall contain at least three (3) mobile home spaces. Section 2. Any ordinance or part of any ordinance in conflict with this ordinance, to the extent of such conflict is hereby repealed. ~- Section 3.
