AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF NEW HANOVER
} CREATING ZONING FOR CASTLE HAYNE
AND SURROUNDING UNZONED AREAS

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY DOTH ORDAIN:

1 Section 1. The Zoning May is hereby amended by adding the hereinafter
1
described tract, encompassing the Castle Hayne and surrounding unzoned areas,
1
to the official zoning map. Individual zoning districts described in the area
I
are attached.

DESCRIPTION
Beginning at a point in the western right -of -way of Castle Hayne Road, said point
also being the intersection of the western right -of -way line of Castle Hayne
1 Road and the western extension of the southern right -of -way line of Gladiolus
Road, running thence in an easterly direction along the southern right -of -way
line of Gladiolus Road 1350+ feet to a point, said point being in the western
ir right -of -way of Sassanqua Road; running thence in a northeasterly direction
5150+ feet to a point in the centerline of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad,
said point being 1250 feet north of the southern property line of Parcel 1,
Block 02, Tax Map 26; running thence in a northerly direction along the
centerline of the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad 16,810+ feet to the New Hanover
1 County Line, said point being identified as the intersection of the New Hanover
County - Pender County Line or the Centerline of the Northeast Cape Fear River;
I thence in a west -south westerly direction along the centerline of the Northeast
Cape Fear River (New Hanover County Line) to a point, said point being in the
centerline of the Northeast Cape Fear River but where the New Hanover County Line
turns westward toward US 421; thence along the centerline of the Northeast Cane
Fear River to a point, said point being the intersection of the river centerline
with the westward extension of the northern property line of Parcel 1, Block 02,
Tax Map 24; running thence in a northeasterly along the northern property line of
Parcel 1 3160+ feet to the northeast corner of Parcel 1; thence 700+ feet alone
1 the northern property line of Parcel 2, Block 01, Tax Map 25; thence in a
northeasterly direction 1100+ feet to a point; thence in a east - southeasterly
direction 400 feet to a point, thence in a northeasterly direction 270+ feet to a
point; thence 600+ feet in a southeasterly direction to a point said point being
x in a western property line of Parcel 27, Block 01, Tax Map 25 -00; thence in a
northerly direction 850+ feet along the western property line of General Electric;
0 running thence along the southern property line of General Electric in a
southeasterly direction 3800+ feet to a point in the western right -of -way of
Castle Hayne Road; thence in a southerly direction 2320+ feet along the western
♦ right -of -line of Castle Hayne Road to a point, said point being the place of
beginning.

Section 2. The County Clerk is hereby authorized and directed under the
supervision of the County Commissioners to alter the Zoning Map on file in the

office of the County Commissioners, so as to make it comply with this ordinance.
Section 3. Any ordinance or any part of any ordinance in conflict with

this ordinance, to the extent of such conflict, is hereby repealed.

Section 4. This ordinance is adopted in the interest of public health,
i
1 safety, morals and general welfare of the inhabitants of the County of New
III Hanover, North Carolina, and shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption
