IN THE MATTER OF CLOSING OF
A PORTION OF SYCAMORE AVENUE
ORDER
It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners of New
Hanover County that a resolution of the County Commissioners of
New Hanover County of intent to close that portion of Sycamore
Avenue (30 feet wide) in the Seagate area of New Hanover County,
North Carolina, running from the eastern line of Giles [Avenue
to the northern line of Oleander Drive (U. S. Highway #76) for
a distance of about 90 feet, was adopted by the County Commissioners
on the 1st day of

, 1982, and it further appearing that
said resolution called for a hearing to be held on the 5th
day of

, 1982,'at which time the County Commissioners would
hear complaints and comments of interested persons, and it further
appearing that notice of said hearing was published in the
Wilmington Star-News Newspaper in accordance with the Road Closing

Ordinance of New Hanover County and the County Commissioners are of
the opinion that said portion of Sycamore Avenue in the County of
New Hanover should be closed and the closing of same is in the public
interest, the legal description of said street being as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Northern right of way
line of U. S. Highway #76 (50 feet from the center
line thereof), said point being the Southwest
corner of lot 159 of the Suburban Land Company as
recorded in Map Book 2 at Page 31 of the New HanoVer
County Registry; Running thence from said beginning
point South 87 degrees 41 minutes West 58.99 feet to
a point; Running thence North 61 degrees 45 minutes
West 29.0 feet to a point in the Eastern right of way
line of Giles Avenue; Running thence with the Eastern
right of way line of Giles Avenue as it curves to the

East to a point that is located North 08 degrees 31
minutes 30 seconds East 31.86 feet from the preceding
POinti Running thence South 61 degrees 45 minutes
East 90.55 feet to the point of beginning. I
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED AND DECREED that the above described

portion of Sycamore Avenue be and the same is hereby closed. It is
