New Hanover County has purchased a water drum which we w~ll be glad to
install at your home. We will fill up this drum twice a week with puri~
fied water from the City of Wilmington's water system and the County Health
Department will periodically check your drum.
We hope that we can keep providing you with this fresh water until a per-
manent water system is available. It is my intent to do this but, I arn
subject to futur~ decisions of the County Commissioners.
In order for us to proceed with the delivery of your water drum, you must
sign and return the enclosed letter to my office. If there are any questions,
please call me at 763-3688.

to be used by you solely for the purposes of containing potable water.
By your acceptance of the drum you agree that the drum is furnished to
you as a matter o~ accommodation, and the same is placed upon your prem-
ises. without any prejudice whatsoever to New Hanovel:' CountY'_ and the
latter has. no obligations pertaining to or responsibilities for the drum
or the contents. to be placed therein.
