NEW HANOVER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD December 3, 2009 The New Hanover County Planning Board will hold public hearings on Thursday, December 3, 2009 beginning at 5:30 p.m. or thereafter
at the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse, 24 North Third Street (corner of Third and Princess Street), Room 301 in Wilmington, NC to consider the following items: Approval of the
November Planning Board Meeting Minutes Item 1: Conditional Rezoning Request (Z-897 8/09) Request by the Wilshire Management Group to conditionally rezone 9.93 acres at 611 Middle
Sound Loop Road from R-15 residential to CD(R-10) in order to increase residential density. The site is classified as Watershed Resource Protection on the 2006 CAMA Land Classification
Map. (This item was continued from the August and September Planning Board meetings at the request of the the applicant. A third request for continuance is being requested until April
1, 2010 in order to convert the request to possible Exceptional Design Zoning District.) Item 2: Text Amendment (A-382 12/09) Request by staff to amend Section 69.17 of the zoning
ordinance by expanding the standards for approval of telecommunication towers. Item 3: Text Amendment (A-383 12/09) Request by the staff to add two new Private Road Certificates to
Article VII of the County Subdivision Ordinance requiring developers to disclose road maintenance �
� to certify that the roads have been constructed �
�Technical Review Committee (TRC) has recommended approval of both certificates by a vote of 5-0. Technical Review Committee Report
(November) The Planning Board may consider substantial changes in these petitions as a result of objections, debate, and discussion at the meeting, including rezoning to other classifications.
