RESOLUTION
OF THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SITTING AS THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW
WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes Section 105-322 authorizes the
Board of County Commissioners to sit as the Board of Equalization and Review; and
WHEREAS, the assessor shall serve as Clerk to the Board of Equalization
and Review, shall be present at all meetings, shall maintain accurate records of the
actions of the Board, and shall give to the Board such information as he may have or
can obtain with respect to the listing and valuation of taxable property in the
county; and
WHEREAS, during the absence of the assessor, the assistant assessor shall
become the Interim Clerk to the Board of Equalization and Review to maintain an
accurate record of the actions of the Board, and shall give to the Board such information
as he may have or can obtain with respect to the listing and valuation of taxable
property in the county.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the New Hanover County Board of
Commissioners sitting as the Board of Equalization and Review that this resolution shall
become effective upon its adoption, such that during the absence of the assessor, the
assistant assessor shall become the Interim Clerk to the Board of Equalization and
Review.
