MINUTES OF 1987 BOARD OF EQUILIZATION AND REVIEW, APRIL 21, 1987
ASSEMBLY
The 1987 Board of Equalization and Review was called to
order at 12:02 o'clock P.M. on April 21, 1987, in the New Hanover
County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street, Wilmington,
North Carolina.
OATH OF OFFICE
Ms. Lucie F. Harrell, Clerk to the Board, administered the
Oath of Office to the following members of the 1987 Board of
Equalization and Review~
Commissioner Jonathan Barfield, Sr.
Commissioner W. Albert Corbett, Jr.
Commissioner John M. Dolan
Commissioner Nolan O'Neal
Commissioner Fred Retchin
A copy of the oath is on file in the Clerk's Office.
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN
Commissioner Retchin MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner
Barfield to elect Commissioner O'Neal as Chairman of the 1987
Board of Equalization and Review. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSLY.
PUBLIC HEARING FOR RECOGNITION OF APPEALS
Tax Administrator, Roland Register, presented a list of
appeals received by the Tax Department stating public notice had
been given that appeals would be received through this date.
Chairman O'Neal opened the Public Hearing.
Chairman O'Neal asked if anyone from the general public
wished to present an appeal. No appeals were presented.
Chairman O'Neal closed the Public Hearing.
MEETING SCHEDULED FOR INDIVIDUAL HEARING AND APPEALS
Commissioner Retchin MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner
Barfield to schedule a meeting on May 22, 1987, at 8: 00 o'clock
A.M. to hear appeals received. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSLY.

Barfield to adjourn the meeting. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED
