MINUTES OF THE 1990 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW

ASSEMBLY
The 1990 Board of Equalization and Review met on Monday,
April 16, 1990, at 9:11 o'clock A.M. in the Assembly Room of the
New Hanover County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street,
Wilmington, North Carolina.
Members present were:
Commissioner W. Albert Corbett, Jr.
Commissioner E. L. Mathews, Jr.
Commissioner Nolan O'Neal
Commission Fred Retchin
Commissioner Jonathan Barfield, Sr. was absent due to a
business appointment.
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN FOR THE 1990 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND
REVIEW
Motion: Commissioner Corbett MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner
Mathews to elect Commissioner Retchin to serve as Chairman of the
1990 Board of Equalization & Review. Upon vote, the MOTION
CARRIED AS FOLLOWS:

PUBLIC HEARING FOR RECOGNITION OF APPEALS
Tax Appraisal Supervisor, Jim Bethune, presented the
following known appeals received by the Tax Department stating
Public Notice had been given that appeals would be received
through this date.

MEETING SCHEDULED FOR MAY 1, 1990, TO HEAR APPEALS
Consensus: I t was the consensus of the Board to schedule a
meeting on Tuesday, May 1, 1990, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. in Room
501 of the County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street,
wilmington, North Carolina to hear tax appeals.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Retchin adjourned the meeting at 9:15 o'clock A.M.
