MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW MEETING
MAY 6, 1991
ASSEMBLY
The 1991 Board of Equalization and Review met on Monday, May
6, 1991, at 8:09 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover
County Courthouse, 24 North Third street, Wilmington, North
Carolina.
Members present were:

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN FOR THE 1991 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW
Motion: Commissioner Barfield MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner
Mathews, to elect Commissioner Retchin to serve as Chairman of the
1991 Board of Equalization and Review. Upon vote, the MOTION
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
PUBLIC HEARING FOR RECOGNITION OF APPEALS

Tax Administrator Roland Register presented the following
known appeals received by the Tax Department stating Public Notice
had been given and that appeals would be received on this date and
on May 20, 1991.

Chairman Retchin asked if anyone present would like to file an
appeal. The following appeals were received:
Mr. George Sakash, 718 Bayshore Drive, requested an appeal on
his property located at 311 Beach Road (R03814-002-006-000).
Mr. Milton D. Ladd, 319 N. 27th Street, requested an appeal on
his property located at 300 Williams Road (R08208-00l-003- 000).
MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 6, 1991, TO HEAR APPEALS
It was the consensus of the Board to schedule a meeting on
Thursday, June 6, 1991, at 1:00 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the
New Hanover County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington,
North CarOlina, to hear tax appeals.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Greer MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner Mathews to
adjourn the meeting. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
Chairman Retchin adjourned the meeting at 8:18 p.m. to be continued
on May 20, 1991 at 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Room of the New
Hanover County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington, North
Carolina.
