Heating - Air Conditioning Permit
Fee Schedule
The building inspector shall charge and collect from each
person filing an application, as provided in Section 3-lc prior
to the issuance of the permit required in Section 3-lc, an inspect-
ion fee, which fee is hereby declared and determined to be a
proper and necessary charge for the necessary and adequate inspect-
ion of structural work and installation, in the amount and according
to the following schedule.
Section 1 - Permit fees for the installation, alteration and/or
rep acement of each gas, oil, electric boiler, furnace, duct heater,
absorption unit, floor furnace,water circulator or heater, recessed
wall circulator or heater, vented circulating heater, direct fired
unit heater, gas radiator, direct fired furnace, rotary dryer, and
annealing furnaces shall be in accordance with

When one Company or iztdividual install piping for an appliance
and the appliance, only one permit is required. When one Company
installs the piping and another installs the appliance, separate
permits shall be required as provided in Section 3.1c.
Section 9 - Permit fees for the installation or replacement of any

liquids (underground or above ground), shall be in accordance with:

At the time of application for a permit, the installer shall furnish
the UL listed system or plan number of system to be installed.
Equipment shall be installed in accordance with North Carolina
State Building Code, Volume III, Chapter 9
Installation of system shall be made only by persons properly trained
and qualified by the manufacturer of the system being installed.
A certificate of qualification shall be filed with the inspection
office and updated yearly for all persons engaged in the installation
of fire extinguishing systems.
A copy of certification of inspection shall be forwarded to the
inspection office.
Installer shall call for inspection when system is completed and
shall perform operational checks for the inspector as required by same

Section 11 - Fee for not acquiring a Permit. An additional fee of
ten dollars or amount of fee required by permit, whichever is greater,
above the fee required in Section 6-39 is to be charged for any person
who begins work without first obtaining the required permits.
Section 12 - Fee for extra inspections; A fee of $ 3.00 (three dollars)
shall be charged for each additional trip to re-inspect discrepancies
found during rough-in or final inspections.

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE U S DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE TO DESIGNATE NEW
HANOVER COUNTY AS A REDEVELOPMENT AREA UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1965, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, New Hanover County, North Carolina qualifies as a redevelopment
area under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended,
and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County recognizes a need to consider Public Works
and other programs as approved under the Public Works and Economic Development
Act of 1965, as amended, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has examined and duly considered
such Act and the Board of County Commissioners considers it to be in the public
interest and to its benefit to file a request for designation as a redevelopment
area under said Act, and to authorize other action in connection, therewith,
and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County is a member of the Southeastern Economic
Development Commission, and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County did assist in writing the original District
OEDP and all subsequent annual reports and updates, and
WHEREAS, the district OEDP fairly presents the goals and objectives of
New Hanover County,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of New
Hanover County that the aforesaid county be designated as a Redevelopment Area
under the provisions of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965,
as amended, and further, that the District OEDP be adopted as the county plan,
in lieu of submitting an area OEDP for New Hanover County This resolution be
adopted by the motion, seco d and roll call_ vote as follows
