ASSEMBLY
The New Hanover County Board of Equalization and Review held a meeting on Monday,
May 22,2000, at 10:45 a.m. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover County Courthouse, 24
North Third Street, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Members present were: Commissioner Buzz Birzenieks; Commissioner Ted Davis, Jr;
Commissioner Charles R. Howell; Vice-Chairman Robert G. Greer; Chairman William A. Caster;
County Manager, Allen O'Neal; County Attorney, Wanda M. Copley; and Clerk to the Board, Lucie
F. Harrell.
Chairman Caster called the meeting to order and advised that this item had been incorrectly
placed on the Consent Agenda. He requested Tax Administrator, Bob Glasgow, to report on the
withdrawal of value appeals.
Withdrawal of2000 Real Estate Value Appeals
Tax Administrator Glasgow advised that after meeting with 25 property owners to discuss
2000 real estate values, the following owners have accepted the values with no change.

Chairman Caster called for a motion to accept the agreed upon values.
Motion: Commissioner Birzenieks MOVED, SECONDED by Vice-Chairman Greer, to accept the
agreed upon values as presented by the Tax Administrator. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSLY.
MEETING RECESSED
Motion: Commissioner Howell MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner Birzenieks, to recess the
meeting of the Board of Equalization and Review. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSL Y.
Chairman Caster recessed the meeting of the Board of Equalization and Review at 10:54 a.m.
