The 2005 New Hanover County Board of Equalization and Review met in Regular
Session on Monday, April 18, 2005, at I :35 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover
County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Members present were: Chairman Robert G. Greer; Vice-Chairman William A. Caster;
Commissioner Ted Davis, Jr.; Commissioner William A. Kopp; Commissioner Nancy H.
Pritchett; County Manager Allen O'Neal; County Attorney Wanda M. Copley; and Clerk to the
Board Sheila L. Schult.
ADMINISTRA TION OF THE OATH OF OFFICE
Sheila L. Schult, Clerk to the Board, administered the Oath of Office to the New Hanover
County Board of Equalization and Review to Commissioner William A. Kopp.
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN OF THE 2005 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND
REVIEW
Tax Administrator Robert Glasgow requested the Board to appoint a Chairman of the
2005 Board of Equalization and Review.
Motion: Vice-Chairman Caster MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner Kopp, to appoint
Robert G. Greer to serve as Chairman of the 2005 Board of Equalization and Review. Upon
vote, the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
ENTRY OF TAX APPEALS INTO THE RECORD
Tax Administrator Robert Glasgow presented the following list of property owners who
submitted written appeals to be heard by the Board of Equalization and Review:

Tax Administrator Glasgow reported that pursuant to State Statutes appeals could be
received until 5:00 p.m. this evening.
Chairman Gre~r asked if anyone from the audience would like to present an appeal.
Noone stepped forward to present a tax appeal.
MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW SCHEDULED ON
MAY 16,2005 TO HEAR TAX APPEALS
Chairman Greer advised that Tax Administrator Glasgow has suggested hearing the tax
appeals on Monday, May 16,2005, and asked if the Board would like to hear the appeals on that
date.
Consensus: After discussion, it was the consensus of the Board of Equalization and Review to
schedule a meeting on Monday, May 16, 2005, in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover
County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington, North Carolina, to hear tax appeals.
