ASSEMBLY
The 2006 New Hanover County Board of Equalization and Review met in Regular Session on
Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at 11 :25 a.m. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover County Courthouse, 24
North Third Street, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Members present were: Chairman Robert G. Greer; Vice-Chairman William A. Caster; Commissioner
Ted Davis, Jr.; Commissioner William A. Kopp, Jr.; Commissioner Nancy H. Pritchett; County Manager Bruce
Shell; County Attorney Wanda M. Copley; and Deputy Clerk to the Board Teresa P. Elmore.
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN OF THE 2006 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW
Tax Administrator Robert Glasgow requested the Board to appoint a Chairman of the 2006 Board of
Equalization and Review.
Motion: Vice-Chairman Caster MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner Kopp, to appoint Robert G. Greer to
serve as Chairman of the 2006 Board of Equalization and Review. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSLY.
ENTRY OF TAX APPEALS INTO THE RECORD
Tax Administrator Robert Glasgow presented the following list of property owners who submitted
written appeals to be heard by the Board of Equalization and Review:

Tax Administrator Glasgow reported that pursuant to State Statutes appeals could be received until
5 :00 p.m. on this date at Marketplace Mall, Suite 190.
Chairman Greer asked if anyone from the audience would like to present an appeal.
No one stepped forward to present a tax appeal.
THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW TO HEAR TAX APPEALS ON MAY 22, 2006
Chairman Greer stated that Tax Administrator Glasgow has suggested hearing tax appeals on Monday,
May 22,2006, and asked if the date is available for the Commissioners.
Consensus: After discussion, it was the consensus of the Board of Equalization and Review to schedule a
meeting on Monday, May 22, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover County
Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington, North Carolina, to hear tax appeals.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion: Vice-Chairman Caster MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner Kopp, to adjourn. Upon vote,
the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
Chairman Greer adjourned the meeting at 11 :35 a.m.
