Wilmington, North Carolina
Dear Dan
Attached hereto you will find two lists of bids received
on City-County owned property for sale One list shows
property on which bids have been received that are
recommended by the staff to be sold at the bid price
The staff's policy has been to recommend bids received
that are at least 20% of the tax valuation with a
reasonable square foot price After the bids have been
advertised the second time the staff's policy is to
recommend acceptance of bids that represent over 15% of
the tax valuation
The second list contains parcels on which bids have been
received that are not considered satisfactory using the
above criteria and are not recommended for sale at this
time

County Commissioners
New Hanover County
Wilmington, North Carolina 28401
Dear Sirs:
We have discussed the matter of possible tax relief for
the years of 1975 and 1976 with our attorney. It is his feel-
ing that there was a good possibility of finding precedent for
relief being granted for the year of 1976 in particular, but
that the cost of researching the issue could exceed the a-
mount of taxes involved. We therefore feel that we must sim-
ply accept the decision of the Commissioners, whatever that
may be.
Sinc rely yours,
v. James 0. Brown, J ,
