RESOLUTION
NEW HANOVER BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS the Energy Task Force, Greater Wilmington Chamber of
Commerce, on April 11, 1974, did accept the invitation of the JOINT
CIVIL PREPAREDNESS COUNCIL, NEW HANOVER COUNTY, to serve the five
(5) local governments voluntarily in the dual role of NEW HANOVER
ENERGY COUNCIL;
AND because the NEW HANOVER COUNTY ENERGY COUNCIL, both indi-
vidually and jointly, has enthusiastically and vigorously pursued
the task of research and study of all aspects and phases of the
energy situation as it is related to New Hanover County now and in
the future;
AND because of the paramount importance that this very vital
work be continued;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the profound appreciation and
continued confidence of the NEW HANOVER BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
be extended to the NEW HANOVER COUNTY ENERGY COUNCIL for their
superior effort and that they be invited to continue this voluntary
service in view of the constant potential threat of a recurring
energy crisis

RESOLUTION
NEW HANOVER COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS the Federal Home Loan Bank Board of Atlanta, Georgia,
serving the Fourth Federal Home Loan Bank District is conducting its
monthly Board of Directors Meeting at Wrightsville Beach during the week
of June 23, 1975;
AND WHEREAS the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, Georgia, is
the largest credit bank in the Federal Home Loan Bank System, serving
eight southeastern states;
AND WHEREAS the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, Georgia,
has furnished billions of dollars to the approximately one thousand
Savings and Loan Institutions within its District for the purpose of
granting home ownership and promoting the American Way of Life through
its credit bank facilities;
AND WHEREAS the State of North Carolina falls within the fourth
Federal Home Loan Bank District,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of
New Hanover County on this the 23rd day of June, 1975, with pride and
pleasure DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of June 23, 1975, Federal Home Loan
Bank Week
