• State pre-application meeting held on 15 Oct 2013

Shallow Draft Inlet Reconnaissance
• Federal resource agency conference call (4 Nov 2013), cautious optimism
• NHC comments submitted (6 Nov 2013) on the Draft Recon. Report
• Final Recon. Report anticipated in late December
Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Shoreline Transects
• Interviews completed 16 Oct 2013
• Developing scope and fee with Moffatt and Nichol Engineering
Carolina Beach Reauthorization
• Efforts will continue during Congressional Conference
US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Proposed Red Knot Listing
(threatened)

• If future NC habitat is designated as critical, NHC requested the current piping
plover habitat overlay

WB 2.2% of$225,000: $ 5,000
