The minutes o i' the meeting, or Jan. , 5th. , andlfith. , were read and approved. The Report of Dr John Thames , Aast Supt Health to whom was referred the applications of sundry per'.son s ` for exemption from poll tax on ac oount o f Prey sical Disability and allowance from Out Door PoorRand was 'read and. hi s'` recommendation eon.ourred in as follows; W.T.Jacks+on` for exemption from Poll Tax not allowed. A. A.Odum for assi stAnce from Out Door' Poor Fund not allowed. David Harrel 1, W. B.IAErrit.t 314 Harnett, for exemption from poll tax he 'being a permanent invalid was granted exemption from Poll 'Tax.i The Auditor reported that the new indices, for use in Reg of Deeds Office had been ordered and that the matter of loose leaf system had not yet been decf reed upon The County Attorney made a verbal report in the matter of back taxes due.' The same was referred back to the Auditir and Attorney -for further inve --ti gati'on as, to amounts due co at of coll.e ctions and etc. The Form of Tax List for;1914 was reported by Chairman as adopted and that the atme- was now in the hands of the printer. The Sheriff requested that the tine for making his settlement for taxes be 'extended to the first Monday. in May. On motion the same was grunted.
