Layton From: Darren England [mailto:darren.england@ncdenr.gov] Sent: Friday, January 31, 2014 3:03 PM Subject: UPDATE - Long Term MOA / Dredging Cost Estimates & Schedule All: At the January 10, 2014 Long Term MOA Implementation Meeting in New Bern, the Corps committed to providing cost estimates for dredging the major shallow draft inlet of NC through the remainder of their FY. Attached are those estimates, along with their latestdredging schedule. It is our understanding that the Corps has sufficient funds on hand to complete the scheduled work at Lockwoods Folly Inlet, Carolina Beach Inlet and Bogue Inlet in the period January March 2014. During that same time period, they will need State / Local funding to complete the work at New Topsail Inlet, New River Inlet, Rollinson Channel and Oregon Inlet. I have a request into the Corps to verify the on hand funding information. I will update you all as soon as I hear back from the District. All April June 2014 and July September 2014 work will require State/Local funding, unless unforeseen Federal funding becomes available. For those communities that wish to provide funding for inlet maintenance, please notify Tom Reeder in writing (letter or e-mail) of said intentions: Tom Reeder, Director N.C.
