Several museum staff members have spent considerable time recently analyzing the proposal, and they feel more exploration for a conceptual design is necessary before moving forward with phase two of the project. A meeting with county manager Chris Coudriet and assistant county manager Tim Burgess is scheduled for Friday, March 22nd at 2 pm to discuss the options that the museum can consider moving into Phase II of the project. Director’s Update: Ruth Haas  Ms. Haas reported that the county has finished the museum’s new web site, and it is up and running. Please check it out at www.capefearmuseum.com  Ms. Haas mentioned that letters – a copy of which was shared with all board members – were sent to all of our state legislators thanking them for their support, documenting how the funds are making a difference at the Museum, and inviting them to attend one of a number of STEM-related events to see the contributions that Grassroots Science funds make. The best follow-up to the letters would be if board members who have a personal connection with any of these legislators made contact and encouraged their attendance.
